Carpet Cleaning
All carpet cleanings include pre-spray, deodorizer, pet odor removal and minor spot removal at no extra charge.
Hot Water Extraction - Steam Cleaning
We use a combination of truck mounted and portable hot water extraction steam cleaners, and specialize in pet stain and odor removal. Unlike many other companies we vacume your carpeting first to remove any dirt on the surface and treat any areas that may require extra attention before we steam clean your carpets. 3M carpet protection available.
Encapsulation Cleaning
Extend the life of your businesses carpet with our Encapsulation Maintenance Program. Encapsulation carpet cleaning is a packaged maintenance program that includes as many as three encapsulation cleanings between a Hot Carbonating Extraction cleaning.
The Encapsulation Cleaning Process
We start the encapsulation process by spraying your carpeting with our commercial carpet cleaning solution and with a crystalline polymer solution. The cleaning solutions are brushed into the carpet fibers with our PowerPro Brush Machine. This helps to ensure that the solution is worked deeply into the carpet and able to do its job. As soon as the solution is applied it begins to surround existing dirt, oil, and other particles embeded deeply into your carpeting. The solution crystallizes around those contaminants, forming a coating that repells dirt. The dirt can then be easily whisked away with regular vacuuming.

The Carpet Cleaning Process
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has set the gold standard for professional carpet cleaning and care. South Lyon Cleaning strictly adheres to their principles by following the six steps listed below:
Remove Dry Soil
We give your carpets a deep vacuum cleaning, using agitation and commercial grade filters to remove a particulates from the surface of your carpets.
Apply A Preconditioning Solution
This preconditioning solution was developed to separate the soils from the carpet fibers.
Agitate Preconditioning Solution
Agitating your carpets allows for optimum contact between the preconditioning solution and the carpet fibers.
Hot-Water Extraction Cleaning/Steam Cleaning
There is a reason that hot-water extraction or steam cleaning is the most widely used method for cleaning carpets. A hot water rinse is highly effective for the removal of soil. South Lyon Carpet Cleaning's fleet of truck mounted, high efficiency steam cleaners make easy work of removing both the cleaning solution and any dirt or grime in your carpet.
Grooming
Improves the overall appearance of your carpeting. Grooming can help restore your carpets "like-new" look and eliminate any matting.
Drying
Damp carpet can cause odors, accidents, as well as attract bacteria and dirt. Drying your carpeting is one of the most important steps in the carpet cleaning process. Most carpets take between two and six hours to fully dry.
